ehci-hcd acpi hang in 8.1
After using online update to apply the latest kernel updates to my 8.1 kernel I find that my system can no-longer boot with acpi enabled. The boot processing hangs when hotplug tries to load the ehci-hcd module. Booting with acpi turned off in the kernel parameters allows the boot to complete successfully. The Motherboard is a Jetway with an Nvidia nForce chipset and an Athlon 2.2. Video card is a GeForce 2. Has anyone else come across this? Does anyone have a fix? P.S. Is there a searchable archive of this list anywhere? Roger

The main site of the unofficial SuSEFAQ http://dinamizm.ath.cx is back again.
Mirrors are as follows http://susefaq.sourceforge.net http://www.smaug42.com/susefaq http://www.bmtsolutions.com/suse_faq http://www.netbulans.com/susefaq http://www.wdm.com/susefaq http://www.tigersden.co.uk/susefaq
I have updated the FAQ based on mainly the spellcheck done by John Berger. He has done a a great job and fixed many typo's and spelling errrors.
Since I am in the middle of relocation there has been a huge gap between the FAQ's on the mailing list and what the Unofficial FAQ is providing.
I don't have any experience with your question. This should get you started. will
