That's a Windows term. What, exactly, do you think is being put on your hard disk which you should be deleting, apart from the cache? And which browser are you using? -- 11:46am up 57 days, 3:51, 2 users, load average: 0.09, 0.18, 0.16
Netscape 6 browser. I want to delete the cache. I guess I can do it by deleting the cache in the netscape folder Leo Derek Fountain wrote:

Here is a script I use to delete Mozilla's cache , which is just about the same as netscape 6. I call this script to start Mozilla, just change the names to netscape where applicable, and enter your "unique string" instead of of7svo63.slt ################################################ #!/bin/bash cd /home/zentara/.mozilla/default/of7svo63.slt/Cache rm -R * cd /home/zentara/mozilla mozilla ############################################## -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation

Personally, I'd write that as rm -R /home/zentara/.mozilla/default/of7svo63.slt/Cache/* since if the cd fails for some reason, you do an 'rm -R' in the cwd (unless you've set bash to exit script on error code), which is not a good idea... -- David Smith Work Email: Dave.Smith@st.com STMicroelectronics Home Email: David.Smith@ds-electronics.co.uk Bristol, England

cd /home/zentara/.mozilla/default/of7svo63.slt/Cache rm -R *

Yes, I hope no one got burned by trying to run that script, since no one has /of7sv063.slt/. Better is: ################################################# !/bin/bash rm -R /home/zentara/.mozilla/default/of7svo63.slt/Cache/* /home/zentara/mozilla/mozilla ################################################ -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
