I installed SuSE 8.2 with the Gnome desktop as well as KDE's desktop. Pan is missing. Does that mean there is no Pan that works under 8.2? That would be too bad. dj tuchler -- Dennis Tuchler <dtuchler@earthlink.net>

It's on the DVD or CD3. The package is called gnpan

I just started it and it seems to be quite nice. You may not have installed it not knowing that gnpan was pan. :) Cheers! -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I'll tell you what you should see.

Thanks for your help. I did a search and found no gnpan, so I guess I'll have to look further. Best regards -- Dennis Tuchler <dtuchler@earthlink.net>
Search gnpan in yast control panel-install and remove software. It is there, I have it installed. On Sun, 2003-05-04 at 11:29, Dennis Tuchler wrote:

I did just that, but found nothing to match gnpan. I did a search of CD3 to no avail. Mine is the "personal" version. Is yourse the "professional" version? I tried to install the tarball offered by the author of pan, but could not install it because of unmet dependencies. djt

Yes I have the Pro version using the dvd. Personal doesn't include Pan or gnpan according to the Suse site. Try here ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/drahn/8.2-i386 it's a rpm from Suse for 8.2. Good luck! On Sun, 2003-05-04 at 15:21, Dennis Tuchler wrote:
