Correct, if your machine is not set to GMT then your clock will not self adjust for daylight savings. You need to set your bios clock to GMT then pick the appropriate timezone for your area. When it asks (yast) if your system is set to GMT then answer yes. This will require a restart or possibly changing to runlevel S.
