Hi, I recently installed SuSE 7.1 on a couple machines and one thing I noticed is that on neither machine Java and Java Script fail to work. I currently have jdk 1.1.8 and 1.3 installed with a symlink from /usr/lib/java to jdk1.1.8. Is there a package that must be updated or maybe didn't get installed properly? Or maybe just me doing something wrong? Any input would be much appreciated!! Thanks Matt
Netscape 4.7X will not use the system java. It uses it's own plugins for that kind of stuff. If you want control over Java / Browsers then you should use Konqueror or Mozilla 0.8.1 .. they both work better then Nutscrape 4.7X anyways. * Matt (mkaman@home.com) [010419 17:22]: =>Hi, => I recently installed SuSE 7.1 on a couple machines and one thing I =>noticed is that on neither machine Java and Java Script fail to work.
