I'd really suggest d/l mldonkey & compiling it. Works far better than gnutella, in my experience. (Actually, for that reason, I had never noticed. ;-)) -- ..."Yogi" CH Namasté Yoga Studio

MLDonkey is included in the SuSE Professional release. At least in 9.1 it is. Probably there's no need to compile it, just install and go. Randall Schulz

mldonkey has been dropped because of the legal risks.
That doesn't mean it's not available: <http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/1582074/com/mldonkey-2.5.28h-1.i586.rpm.html>

I saw this back in the 8. series, open a menu editor and see if the command is correct.
If it's run in a terminal, it says to set ~/.gtk-gnutella/config_gnet 'ancient_version_force = ' to some option, but it still fails. I downloaded the source for 0.95 from sourceforge.net tar jxfv tar jxfv gtk-gnutella-0.95.tar.bz2 cd gtk-gnutella-0.95 ./Configure -d make checkinstall rpm -Uvh /usr/src/packages/RPMS/i386/gtk-gnutella-0.95-1.i386.rpm It installs in /usr/local/ and runs fine. I had to do ". ~/.bashrc" to get it to pick up the new path in /usr/local/bin, but that could have been unneccessary by editing config.h to point to /usr instead of /usr/local. It would have been nicer if it had simply been a bad command. :) Are you getting it to connect at all? I couldn't with the one for 9.1 and went with LimeWire instead.

I just fired it up again and I have 3 connections so far. I've used it since about 8.1 or 8.2 and it's always worked. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and Keen Flyer =====ALMOST ALL LINUX USED HERE, Solaris 10 SPARC is just for play=====
