Hi Reply to message 197856. I have the same problem as you, and "root=/dev/304" in boot.omsg. Downgrading mkinitrd did no good, but your suggestion worked for me. I am also on an Intel P4. Cheers, Sune

Sune, Thanks for the confirmation - I've opened up a ticket with SuSE but no answer from them (yet)- I installed just a few weeks ago and am still under the support period.
