I'm running distccd on my network, and it stays running except for on two boxes. One of the boxes does very little other than run distccd. The other box, and don't tell anybody, is the same box I run make on. I loop back through the host name, and make the build process think it's on the network. Any ideas why distccd would die regularly on some systems, but not on others? BTW, starting it with Yast is a bad idea because it then runs as root, and causes access permission problems. -- Regards, Steven
