Is there something like kprinter in KDE4, where we can redirect printing jobs and get all the additional options, including print to PDF?

Take a look at system-config-printer and kde4-printer-applet. HP also has an applet in the HPLIP package. Printers and jobs can also be managed via localhost:631 although this is not as friendly.
