[opensuse] Using Konsole Under Gnome (Transparency Issue)
Using the default terminal (gnome-terminal) under gnome (opensuse 10.3) I can get transparent backgrounds to work fine. If I run Konsole (KDE default terminal) it works fine, however, when I try and configure a profile to use a transparent backgroun it doesn't work. (In the properties panel for the app it "detects" and thinks the desktop doesn't support transparent backgrounds. I'm sure its looking for something KDE-ish in the environment, or something is hardcoded under the hood somewhere. Unfortunately I can't stand the way gnome-terminal manages tabs and I can't stand KDE -- so I'm trying for the best of both worlds. Has anyone tweaked or found a way to use transparent backgrouns with Konsole under Gnome??? Konsole's fake transparency requires kdesktop to run as the desktop. Bye, Steve -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
