There is no way to see it, even the hardware-tool in yast doesn't see it. It only works with the first SATA. This problem is new, because with 11.0 and 11.1 everything was well. I tried out with 32 and 64-bit version. You'll need to report this on the opensuse-factory list with a bit more detail. If it is a bug, then it will need to be bugzilla'd. But a few of questions:
1 - when you say SATA, do you mean only one channel/type is recognized? 2 - what type of SATA are they? 3 - what is attached to the SATA channels?
Posting the answers to these might go some way to findoing out what the problem is.
Thank for your fast answer. I try to describe my SATA. I have a Asus M3M78 and my bios says that on SATA1 found a WDC WD10EACS-65D6b on SATA2 finds Maxtor 6V160E0 Sata3 and ESATA are free. Therefore 11.2RC1 only recognizes SATA1 but not SATA2. If it is necessary I can send the hwinfo-section of 11.1 and 11.2 to see the differences. If you really think that it si a bug, I will send the info also to opensuse-factory. First off, please post all replies to the opensuse list where this exchange started. This is so that people more knowledgable than me can see our exchange and also help you. I have added the list back in. Since you say that oS 11.1 can see both channels, it looks like a bug to me. Somehow support for one off your channels has been dropped.
