I loaded nerolinux demo to try it out. unfortunetaly I install it as user jim not root. now when ever I reboot the owner of hdc is jim and the permissions are 600. This should only make a difference in where it is installed (/home/jim/somewhere/ instead of /opt/nero/ or something like that) and - of course - the ownership of the program files.

This has nothing to do with Nero at all - resmgr does it when you login. Oh, and please do not send HTML mails to this mailinglist.
