Hi All, I'm looking for MDSUM of original suse-10.1-GM, cause i want to be sure that my downloaded suse 10.1-gm from torrent are valid. So i cant apply delta-iso-Remasterd for them. I've cheked in opensuse's ftp, but the MDSUM contain "Remastered" which i assume it's not the original one. So if someone has the original MDSUM for suse-10.1-GM and share it to me, i'd be appreciated.. :) regards, -- Arie Reynaldi Zanahar reymanx at gmail.com http://www.reynaldi.or.id

K3b does some kind of validation when you open an ISO image to burn. You can also burn the image and use YaST's "Media Check" module.

Although the question has already been answered by another lister, the
problem I have with both of the above answers is that they TRUST THE
MEDIA. You are trying to validate the media - it's best not to ask the
media itself!

The torrent protocol uses checksums internally, so checking another checksum is redundant - provided, of course, that the client is correctly programmed. It even can correct (repair) a bad ftp download. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
