[opensuse] squid: how to update to a newer version
hi there, I would like to update squid to a newer version than the one I get from yast (2.6 stable 14). how can I do that? is there an update source somewhere I can get it from? thanks robert

This is a manual process: first download the source rpm, then:
Rebuild it with the command "rpmbuild --rebuild

This is a manual process: first download the source rpm, then:
Rebuild it with the command "rpmbuild --rebuild
" The compiled rpm will then be located in /usr/src/packages/RPMS Install the compiled rpm.
Of course you could just search the openSUSE buildservice for newer packages. http://software.opensuse.org/search?p=1&q=squid&baseproject=openSUSE%3A10.3 a bit down it lists the "server:proxy" OBS project.
