[opensuse] Problem with e-mail login
I just got a new pc on which I installed opensuse 11.4. I tried setting up Thunderbird 3.1.10 but I kept getting errors with login. It always reported that I had used a wrong id or password. I had set it up just as my win7 Thinderbird 3.1.7 which works. after messing with it for a while I gave up and changed to kmail where I have the same problem. I am using the KDE manager. I haven't found any google items with this problem. Can anyone give me some help or direction? I use Thunderbird and KMail for a while without problems. If you can provide more details: How did you enter user id and password, manually or copy paste? Do you let Thunderbird and KMail store your passwords, or you type them every time you access mail server? What language you are using? Try to type password in text editor to see is that what mail server expects? Does your mail server expects encryption, and what method? Who is you mail provider? -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
