What a blatant piece of commercial SPAM! " ... exclusively for SuSE newsletter subscribers ... save $200 off the regular $1795 price ..." I am NOT a SuSE newsletter subscriber - and I do NOT want to hear about "special offers from Novell" on a mailing list to which I DO subscribe for the sole purpose of corresponding with people who want or can give help on problems. What is the off-topic list for if someone thinks this is genuinely of interest to people who use the suse mailling lists? Quoting from the WELCOME to suse-linux-e@suse.com email, Q3. What is not appropriate content for the list? A3. Commercial postings of any kind ... This person should be banned from the list, and if he works for Novell ... !! Anyone who feels similarly might also wish to express their displeasure to Novell. The original post, in its entirety, follows. Appologies to the list for this use of bandwidth, but I have also sent this to Novell and SuSE. -- Best Regards David Barnes On Saturday 14 February 2004 03:48, Fred Miller wrote:

Why does if have to be Brainshare (wallet share IMHO). There must be computer show and conventions in Oz ??? -- _____________________________________ John Andersen
There are two Linux / Unix that I consider worth attending 1- South Australia's LCA2004 2- Victoria's LUV However: Having been a Serious Novell Network Admin. in the past and having attended most of their Australian Technical Conferances in the past I want to see what the interconnections are and the intentions for SuSE's use as well as getting some of my general internetworking skills updated. The prices for these conferances and the returns I have gained in the past are well worth it. They don't just concentrate on their "own thing", they help you work out how to deal with the quirks of connecting to other operating systems even mainframes. having reread this it sounds like a sell, but it's not, it's just my opinion. regards scsijon At 01:03 AM 16/02/2004, John Andersen wrote:
