Hi I'm trying to install SuSE 8.2 in my desktop. I've downloaded the 8.2 branch in ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/8.2 and saved it into an internal ftp server running 8.1 (ftpd, ftpdir). Then I've performed the steps described to install via ftp. It worked well. I was able to access the ftp server, load YOU, etc. However I got an error in software: "Cannot read package data from installation media. Media error ?" I thought this was a problem with my ftp server so I've copied the entire branch into my computer and did a harddisk install. I had the same problem. I was looking for answers in the mailing lists archives but I didn't found any answer. Is there a workaround ? Where can I find information about this ? Thanks EJ
