Re: [SuSE Linux] Hi All
I ran into the same problem today. I took and created a link /var/X11R6/bin/X and /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_XXXX (XF86_XXXX is your X server). (Note: that's work with a small 'w'; I've not got XFree86 running yet) Something about 'binary of the Xserver XF86_xxx is not a binary file'. I've read the relevant info in the FAQ, but I could still use a tad of advice. Ditto the sentiments about most Linux books being good for the first few steps, but then they jump *way* ahead by saying something like 'then go find file x and edit it to do this'. Even RedHat press 'teach yourself Linux in 24hrs' is *ULTRA* guilty of this. Why the supposition of foreknowledge? Then again, I did manage to get XF86 running under RedHat...
