I can play RealPlayer video from most sites except this: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/genome/program.html# The Cambuca rpms don't play it either. I get: Some compnents are not available to provide playback of this presentation on your system. 9.1 YOU updated today. Can anyone see it on 9.1? Cheers and thanks for trying. Steve.

Steve.
I normally never bother with RM files, but when I tried that site, I got 'Xine - no input plugins.' I did not try it with Mplayer. -- Sent using KMail on SuSE 9.1 "For me to live is Christ..."

I get the same symptoms with RealPlayer (10) and via the MPlayer plug-in in Mozilla 1.7.3 (GTK2--natch, since the MPlayer plug-in requires a GTK2 build): "Requested file not found. The link you followed may be outdated or inaccurate. (pnm://149.48.144.100:7070/wgbh/mediastorage/nova/program/2809_03.smil?cloakport=8080,554,7070)." You can use wget or similar tool to retrieve the SMIL (for the "One Wrong Letter" clip) file driving the whole business from <URL: http://video.pbs.org:8080/ramgen/wgbh/mediastorage/nova/program/2809_03.smil>. That SMIL file contains: -==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==- rtsp://149.48.144.100:554/wgbh/mediastorage/nova/program/2809_03.smil?cloakport=8080,554,7070 --stop-- pnm://149.48.144.100:7070/wgbh/mediastorage/nova/program/2809_03.smil?cloakport=8080,554,7070 -==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==- My guess is that this problem is at the PBS server end.
Steve.
