Hi, I use "convert" (ImageMagick) to convert .png to .ps, but the resulted .ps is very large. The original .png is about 33KB, but the resulted .ps is 2.9MB. I tried using Gimp to save the .png as .ps, which produced a smaller .ps (only about 166KB). What type of parameters I need to pass to "convert" so the size of resulted .ps can be reduced? I've tried "-density 200" (since the resolution of .png is 200dpi), and although it affects the size of the portscript when displayed, the filesize still remains at 2.9MB. Here are some information on the files as shown by Gimp ("convert" was run with "-density 200"). =============================================================== Orignal .png .ps (gimp) .ps (convert) =============================================================== Pixel dimension 804x624 804x624 306x238 Print size (inch) 4.020x3.120 4.020x3.120 3.060x2.380 Resolution (dpi) 200x200 200x200 100x100 =============================================================== Regards, Verdi -- NEU +++ DSL Komplett von GMX +++ http://www.gmx.net/de/go/dsl GMX DSL-Netzanschluss + Tarif zum supergnstigen Komplett-Preis!
