it beats me how the grahical installer works from text mode go tar -zxvf ns6.tar.gz in the same folder as "ns6.tar.gz" there should be new folder called Netscape-installer you should find Netscape-installer-bin in there (or do a file find) when that works it will look just like a windows install make sure the directory it suggests is there and has not got old netscape in it, I tried changeing the directory it suggest to "netscape_six" but it did not work, must go to bed 3.20 in the morning, let as know how you get on
