Have been testing learning linux and so install a small harddrive to receive linux. That disk is now 90% full and I want to move part to the C drive (MS single partition and it is 93% unused...) How can I partition that drive and give some of it to linux?
What do I need to move to that partition -- etc?
Thanks
Stephen, On my Win2K box, I used SuSE 8.0 to carve out a linux partition.... it was part of the install process. Once you have Linux on new partition you can copy the files, or do it from your working copy of Linux. If you have been following this list (SLE) long, you know that your questions gets asked frequesntly, so do a little googling. Similar questions were very common as 9.0 was comming out. However, you didn't say what Linux you are using. Is it SuSE 9.0? Also is your Windows XP ??? Win2K ??? or what ??? Is the Windows partition NTFS ??? Although I have not used it, SuSE 9.0 apparently now can partition NTFS partitions whereas 8.2 and down can't. There are also commercial programs (such as Partition Magic ) which can be used to create partitions. Remember, google is your friend.
