Getting updates from mirror
I am currently running v9.0. Whilst I have decided to miss v9.1 and wait for the next release, I was wanting to keep the current system up-to-date, especially with security updates. I know how to kick up YOU and go get the updates from SUSE's site (setup by default) but that makes a considerable hit on my meagre 1Gb per month download limit on my dsl account (particularly with kernel updates). However, my ISP has recently decided to mirror a swag of Linux sites, including SUSE. This is great because anything downloaded from the mirror site is a 'free' download. It does not count as part of the monthly limit. Can anyone advise exactly what I need to do config wise within YOU in order to direct it to a local mirror please? Is there a particular directory to aim at? I presume YOU needs to find some index or other? Any pitfalls to watch for? Thanks, Paul.

I've always used the standard list, but try: Yast -> Online Update -> click on 'New Server'. You wil have determine the exact path your ISP uses. HTH. Rich
