Dear Sir, When I pass the command mailstats, I see like the following: # mailstats Statistics from Fri Sep 27 10:58:54 2002 M msgsfr bytes_from msgsto bytes_to msgsrej msgsdis Mailer 4 6 31K 0 0K 0 0 smtp 5 0 0K 4 15K 0 0 esmtp ============================================================= T 6 31K 4 15K 0 0 C 6 4 0 msgsfr is the message received field, bytes_from is the size received field, msgsto is the message sent field, bytes_to is the sent size field. But what about M, msgsrej, msgsdis, T and C and what are they meant? Thank you so much for your answer. Regards, Choth

It's a set of macros that are usually kept in /etc/mail/submit--rules for checking the sender domain, things like that. They are covered pretty extensively in the O'Reilly sendmail book. -- -ckm

Please do not create new messages by replying to an existing thread's message. It's lazy and rude. Jim
