[opensuse] zypper up: access denied error
Since updating to 15.0, a "zypper -v up" sometimes gives an "access denied" error for some files (see below). Looking with a browser into the "ftp.gwdg.de/..." structure, I can see the files and can/could download them. "LANG=En_US zypper -v up ... Overall download size: 178.1 MiB. Already cached: 229.4 MiB. After the operation, additional 394.8 MiB will be used. Continue? Yes, see thread " Self signed certificate" from end of March 19. The certificate is included in /var/lib/ca-certificates/*

Yes, better to use download.opensuse.org and let mirrorbrain do the choosing, unless there is some reason not to.

It may be that server who is creating the access denied error, not the outside repo. I see also that some repos have refresh disabled. Well, the oss repo is not likely to get updates, but... :-? sometimes select mirrors or infrastructure parts dont have all the files populated yet. or you are using a fixed address single repository server instead of the general bouncers (mirrorbrain) generic forwarding urls. what is your repo details? these should read something like this on vanilla or clean systems. zypper lr -d Repository priorities are without effect. This sounds like your client was denied by the gwdg server, very odd.
