Hi all, I know a little bit about 7.3 has already been asked on this list, but I have no experience downloading anything but the ISO's. I have just downloaded the whole SuSE 7.3 folder from ftp, and I want to know if I just burn the whole folder to a CD and boot from the CD, or is there some other way I need to do it and is there a special way I have to burn it? Why doesn't SuSE provide the ISO's? TIA -- David M. AIM: dmcglone27 ICQ:96210352 ==========Registered linux user 226218===========

Old Story David .... SuSE needs some money for going ahead with their biz, and that's why they don't provide ISO's .... They want you to buy a boxed edition, claiming that it is available everywhere on earth (i386 platform). Apparently this is not really true, since you can hear the complaints of those waiting weeks and weeks for their new boxed editions after every new release, here on this list ... I think you sure will remember ... The places where a new release of SuSE is available IN SCHEDULE must be as close to Nuremberg as my town (3/4 of an hour - on the bicycle). 7.3 already took three days to make it to Regensburg, 100km (60 miles) south-east of Nuremberg :-(( For other platforms ISOs are available.
