[opensuse] KDE4 - What it could be
I just have to vent. I think I'd be _MORE_ open to testing KDE4, if there was a good repository layout meaning: KDE4:Stable:Desktop (with 4.1.1) KDE4:Stable:Community (with 4.1.1 fully compatible) Currently I have: KDE4:Factory:Desktop KDE4:Factory:Community(for factory yada yada.. whatever it's called) KDE4:QT However, not everytihng in the community repository would install because kde4-base 4.1.2 .. which isn't in the desktop factory.. just kinda blah.. I think i'll poke around and get it.. but I think many more testers would get it running better if they had a better method of testing the newest version prior to it being released in the next version of openSUSE. Not that I am a big fan of 4.1, but at kde.org I see "openSUSE packages are available for openSUSE 11.0 (one-click install), for openSUSE 10.3 (one-click install) and openSUSE Factory (one-click install). " So maybe we should call their bluff (just kidding) and try it? <snip> -- Tony Alfrey tonyalfrey@earthlink.net "I'd Rather Be Sailing" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
