OK, I'm stupid. I removed some rpms yesterday in an effort to solve a problem I was having, one of which was the qt-non-mt stuff. Since then, YaST2 works fine, except that it only runs in character mode... it won't start in graphics mode. I have looked through log files I could find but don't understand why this is happening. I have since reinstalled the qt-non-mt and did a forced reinstall of ALL the yast2 rpms, but it's still the same... no gui. Is there a place where the failure would be logged?
