While writing my last note I ran across an oddity related to tabs. When I tab in to indent a sentence the cursor becomes offset by the spacing of the tab. For example here's an indented sentence. If I try to insert a word just before the word "sentence" (by clicking the mouse just in front of the letter s) the blinking curser shows up between the "i" and "n" of the word "indented" The inserted word will go where intended but the visual reference is disconcerting to sat the least. Has anyone else encountered this? Is it a bug or can I disable this peculiar "feature" (without switching to mutt or pine I mean ;-p) dh

Sounds like what I complained about awhile back. Basically keep typing and things finally gets right. It showed up with a KDE upgrade . Might have been Kmail but since they both got upgraded at the same time hard to tell. Nick
I am trying to decide between a hosting company and a local firm with T1 access who wants to give me space in exchange for consulting. Is there a good tool to test bandwidth? I want to see which gives me better throughput from various spots in the US. Thanks- -mab --

bing and fping work pretty well for me. I have to re-read the man pages every time I use them, but that's the only caveat. :) ===== -- -=|JP|=- Hit me! - http://www.xanga.com/cowboydren/ Jon Pennington | Debian 2.3 -o) cowboydren @ yahoo . com | Auto Enthusiast /\\ Kansas City, MO, USA | ICQ UIN 69 67 29 31 _\_V __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Wasn't there a tool in Linux called spray / sprayd for testing this ?? I read about this program once, but it seems not to be on 7.3 CDs, at least not on the personal edition Cheers ....
