I installed OOo 2.4 from UNSTABLE and it seems even more prone to the Save-As lockup I've reported before. (In bugzilla, etc.)
Please - can you point me to the bug in bugzilla? I failed to find it :-(

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=349422 I have not updated the bugzilla in a couple months. I'm not on the problem machine right now, but will be in an hour or so. At least yesterday it was 100% consistent with the latest OOo 2.4 from the unstable build service. Previously I was using oocalc. Yesterday was oowriter. Hi, I have the same behavior on 2.3.1.2 (clean 10.3 install I think), but not that often (once every 10 time). I thought it was because of low memory; the HD will start going haywire and I have to hard reset. One other thing - when saving XLS files with CIFS hyperlinks it breaks the hyperlinks. All links are renamed to "smb://server/share/file.ext". This is really serious - I "broke" important files used by other Excel users; really bad PR for OpenOffice. Can someone please confirm this behavior in 2.4. Manne -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The problem with CIFS hyperlinks really looks serious. Could you please report it into bugzilla.novell.com and assign it to kendy@novell.com? -- Best Regards, Petr Mladek software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: pmladek@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 952 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
