Hi, I running kde2 on a suse 6.4. My box is a pentium mmx 200, 128MB RAM (128MB swap). And kde2 goes too slow. This is problematic: it's really slow starting and launching applications and when I play music with xmms it is slower, and if do it with kaiman (kmedia player) it's even worst: music interrupts for moments. Nothing of this happens with my older kde (1.?). Thanks

Well... I had the same problem with kaiman, and all the multimedia stuff.... all was solved when i download and compile the sources of kmultimedia with ONLY oss and mmx extensions GoodLuck! IMHO KDE2 is not ready for me, so I run KDE1* and run the KDE2 applications I like (kmail, konqueror, koffice and more) from there, works great...:-) ei On Friday 05 January 2001 16:58, Eduardo Díaz Uriarte wrote:
