[opensuse] bluetooth dongle hints
I'm planning to buy a bluetooth USB dongle and would be grateful for any specific recommendations (models/chipsets etc) or things to watch out for. Or useful URLs. I'm planning to connect a Nintendo wiimote but I may also use it with my phone and/or headset etc. I'm presently running 9.3 but may switch to 10.2 or 10.3 soon. Thanks, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I don't have any specific recommendations. Every USB Bluetooth dongle I've plugged into a computer using SUSE 10.0 and up has just worked - assuming the Bluetooth software was already installed (I can't speak for 9.3 since I can't remember that far back). Maybe I've been lucky... I've even had the freebee Bluetooth dongles that are giveaways at trade shows and computer stores simply work with no tinkering - in fact that's where I've picked up all but one of my Bluetooth dongles. ( I keep losing the things ) but anyone that was a giveaway or a $10 -$19 (US) has just been a plug it in and go..
This assumes you have installed the the bluetooth support tho. I *think* 9.3 worked, But I too seem to be having a *senior moment* recalling back that far. ;-) -- j I've lived in the real world enough, we're all here because we ain't all there. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
