DOes anyone know what problems (if any) can/do occur by installing SuSE RPMS to a system manually, rather than via yast? Thanks, Geordon

Not much, usually. You have to make sure, that all the dependencies are resolved and you should run SuSEconfig afterwards - that's all. I update most of my RPMs manually. I wouldn't think it would give any problems, but it is probably a good idea to run SuSEconfig afterwards. Regards Ole
