Thanks for all your tips, I tried everything but no luck. All thats left is to take Daniel's advice and recompile but everytime I try a recompile several modules fail to load. Can anyone tell me if /boot/vmlinuz.config is the config file that SuSE use in their kernel. If so I can use this as the basis of my 'menuconfig' Regards Peter
Yes, this is the config file that they used. I have used it several times to compile updated kernels and it has worked well. They include everything known to man (well almost) but as modules, so shouldn't be a big deal.
