[opensuse] Microphone Probelm
Hi, I have got a problem with my microphones. They worked with Suse10.3. I shifted all Switches in Alsamixer to the maximum and deinstalled pulseaudio. The hardware works, there was an acoustic feedback. But Skype, KRecord and Audacity did not get any input. What should I do? Regards, Michael Bartoschek

Same here. I use an nVidia ALC888 Analog card for recording. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have solved my issue by selecting, in Skype, instead of the default device, HDA NVidia (hw:NVidia,0). It does not seem to be related to pulseaudio in my case. thanks anyway -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I do not have a (hw:NVidia,0) device to select from. Did you do something special to install the driver?

No, it was installed by default. What choices do you have, besides the default device, in the "Sound In" list of Skype ? Try all choices. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The problem could be resolved by looking at the bugzilla database. Unfortunately I did not see that the capture control was off. Regards Michael
