Load ac and battery modules on boot
I need to load ac and battery modules on SuSE 8.2 on boot. I can load them normally with modprobe, but if I put them in /etc/modules.conf, then I get a big mess during booting. Can anybody tell me exactly how to do this? Thanks!

Yast2 System RunLevel Editor Make sure ACPID is started at B (boot only, and not mentioned on any other run-level. There is a non-yast way to do this but don't go there. If this is a laptop, You may find that you get a kernel panic on shutdown. If so, Yast2 Editor for etc/sysconfig System / Powermanagement / ACPI / General Modules NOT to unload set to include at lease processor and thermal, the rest don't matter. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen
