SuSE 8.1 doesn't configure X11 to recognize USB wireless mouse

Under SuSE 8.0, I could switch the soft link, /dev/mouse, to point at either: /dev/usbmouse or /dev/psaux and reboot x11. I, thereby, controlled what device my laptop (Dell 8100) used as its pointer. Both the scratchpad (psaux) and my wireless mouse (usbmo= use) worked great. I can set up my same wireless mouse with the yast2 under 8.1, but I cannot get X11 to recognize a softlink from /dev/mouse to /dev/usbmouse. Has something changed? What is the correct device file? XF86Config still contains a line for /dev/mouse, so I assume I just need to link it to the right device. Correct? BTW, on 8.1, Sax2 did not pick up my wireless mouse correctly either. Any ideas would be most appreciated. Bud Roth
