Does anyone know the General status \ abilities with SuSe 9.3 and using the Gigabyte ports on a motherboard (such as Gigabyte's)? Is it now stable and full duplex or do we have delays still? thanks scsijon

There still seems to be issues with the e1000 driver from Intel. I don't know what chip Gigabyte are using, but my boxes use Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 13) with the sk98lin module and the Broadcom BCM5788 with the tg3 module, but I only have 100M hubs. Kernels support. # Ethernet (1000 Mbit) # # CONFIG_ACENIC is not set # CONFIG_DL2K is not set CONFIG_E1000=m CONFIG_E1000_NAPI=y # CONFIG_NS83820 is not set # CONFIG_HAMACHI is not set # CONFIG_YELLOWFIN is not set # CONFIG_R8169 is not set CONFIG_SKGE=m CONFIG_SK98LIN=m # CONFIG_VIA_VELOCITY is not set # CONFIG_TIGON3 is not set # CONFIG_BNX2 is not set Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
