Hi,
When started from my root account, tkppp has no problem connecting to my isp. However, initially tkppp could connet to my isp if started from my user account. I would get a message from pppd stating that permission was denied. Therefore, I set the permission to pppd as follow:
-rwsr-xr-x 1 root dialout 83856 Nov 30 07:14 /usr/sbin/pppd*
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but wouldn't chown root.users /usr/sbin/pppd be enough? --------------2701F33D2F041D739631BE6B Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit <HTML> Scott Gray wrote: <BLOCKQUOTE TYPE=CITE>Hi, When started from my root account, tkppp has no problem connecting to my isp.
