First, do you know what kind of modem it is? I know that the modem that came with my wife's HP Pavillion 6736 was a Winmodem. That's the first step. Then, see if you can find the modem in the Hardware database. I dunno which is more comprehensive, the hardware list at SuSE or the one at Linux.com (http://linux.com/enhance/hardware/) Good luck, HTH.
