2.4.0.SuSE-6 & ppp
Hi All, I've tried a couple of times now, to get this kernel online, with my wee 56k modem & am having no joy :-( I've tried the ppp, as both a module & in the kernel, but I keep getting bounced off @ the very end of the logging on process, with "No carrier," message whizzing bye....? Huh? Say what? Any hints, aligations or things left uncompiled???? *BFN* Greek Geek (tired & somewhat sunburnt....) "Microsoft Productivity Software" - See reductio ad absurdum, conclusions. - GG.
Have you upgraded you ppp per Linus' suggestion in his installation guide for 2.4.0? look in ftp://linuxcare.com.au/pub/ppp/ppp-2.4.0-.tar.gz. Let me know how it works. I will need it when/if I compile this kernel for my gateway. Kurtrr On Sun, 07 Jan 2001, Greek Geek wrote:
