Although k3b is probably just another graphical frontend for mkisofs+cdrecord, I use mkisofs+cdrecord directly from the command line. I have two resons for that: The first is that I am sure to have access to _all_ the possibilities built into mkisofs+cdrecord. Some GUIs have fallen short of implementing some less used feature that I needed. The second reason is that if any error occurs, I don't have to worry about finding out whether to blame the GUI for not working correctly with the bakend programs, or if I should blame the actual backend programs. Both mkisofs and cdrecord as understandable for me, with good help from the man pages. This is of course all my personal preferences. Best regards :o) Johnny :o)

If my memory serves me right, I helped Erik switching from Konqueror to Mozilla as his default browser some time back. This was done the usual way by setting up Mozilla in the html MIME type. In that case, 'man:/cdrecord' in Konqueror's Location field will not work. It will ask to start Mozilla, and if you anser 'Yes' Mozilla will start and report that 'man is not a registered protocol'. However, the man pages for cdrecord and mkisofs should both be available in KDE's Control Centre, under Linux Documentation -> Manpages -> Section 1 User commands. Best regards :o) Johnny :o)
