Howard, Thanks for the Consumer report ;-) I am not 100ure that this will work on all domestic cyphers. I'll have to try it. the one I have a question about it the one with the 1024 bit SHA1. I got a rude slap in the face when I tried to use a 128 bit 3-DES cypher with 512 SHA1 for a client and 1024 SHA1 for a server. I'm betting this fortify will work for me, just not certain. As soon as I'm done learning brain surgery through trial and error (lost a few patients so far :-( I will look into this for 4.5b. Thanks again, Steve Howard Arons wrote:

Bottom line: this is a fantastic app. It is simplicity itself to d/l from <A HREF="http://www.fortify.net"><A HREF="http://www.fortify.net</A">http://www.fortify.net</A</A>>, untar and install. It modifies the Netscape binary (and makes a backup) to build 128-bit routines (as well as triple-DES) right into Netscape, so the modified binary looks and behaves as if it were the US version.

For those looking for a painless enhancement to the international Netscape distributed with SuSE, have a look at Fortify. BTW, I have no connection with the developers, I'm just a satisfied customer.
