If I boot to Linux 8.1 (on KVM channel #1) I can use the mouse but I can't use the keyboard [snip]
I also use a KVM switch with my SuSE 8.1 system, but I've never seen
Hi I have seen the same, i have a kbd switch. On my old linux box key board and mouse fails, but when i installed windows xp:( on the same machine, no problems:) It seems that xp for example restarts the kbd amd mouse driver automaticly, linux doesnt. Dont worry, im back running linux on the machine again. There is a sollution. If you are in X and youre mouse fails, shift between ttys, ctrl + alt + f1 or f2 then f7 again. /Mattias ... I had the mouse + no keyboard problem too with my adderview keyboard/monitor switch. I found that if I restart the x-server I can use the keyboard ... so after every reboot, I have to restart the x-server before logging in, and then the keyboard will work.
