The easiest way would probably be to install diald (on-demand connect) Set diald to disconnect after 10 minutes of no activity. Then all you need should be a crontab entry pinging your ISP every 5 minutes. This way diald would never disconnect itself, and if the connection goes down, the crontab entry will get it up again within a few minutes. Good luck Ole On Tue, 29 Dec 1998, Subba Rao wrote:
