Hi, I will install openSUSE 12.3 64Bit soon natively on my desktop. What is the best/easiest method to install AMD proprietary display driver? (I have an AMD Radeon HD 7000 series graphic adapter) Thanks! JeZ+Lee -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

http://en.opensuse.org/AMD or better http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:AMD_fglrx Use one click install that will add all files that are needed for compilation and installation, do both and after reboot you will have fglrx driver. Note that download is quite big, but only for the first time, due to dependencies. Later, for update, it is downloaded only driver, which is much smaller. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

¿Would this work also for notebooks with two GPUs (Intel & AMD)?

Bad news. For that you need additional package bumblebee. I don't know much about that, but there are some packages that can be found with http://software.openususe.org/search . Maybe someone with such hardware can shed more light. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I have a laptop with hybrid graphics, non-stop total fail.
I have a hp dv6 with intel/AMD GPU, all ok with the fglrx proprietary driver. gallochri -- Have a lot of fun! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Christian,
How did you do to tell openSUSE to work with Intel or AMD driver? Once
you have installed the fglrx drivers, in my case, openSUSE still try
to look for Intel video and so no video comes up.
PD: I also have a dv6!
