Just wondering if most people are using Suse 10 OSS RC1 or the 9.3 stable... I would like to try out / review 10, but wanted to see if there are still some "big" issues unresolved before wiping out my system... Any recommendations?

I am using Suse 10.0 RC1 on my main desktop and Beta 4 on my Averatec 5400 laptop. Works great on the desktop but can't get networking, USB and sound to work under RC1 on the laptop. (Beta 4 works fine on the laptop) Walt
At the risk of sounding like a total Suse noob (I'm a long time Gentooer) but what is "Beta 4" and where do I get that from? Walt Frampus wrote:

RC1 means it is unfinished. I would never run an RC1 on a system that needs to stay up. Either run 9.3 or wait or if your system is runnming now and does what you want it to do, stick with that. If it aint broke, don't fix it. houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html
I installed RC1 on my T20 laptop without any problems or installer messages of any kind. It found both my LAN and the internet without any prompting on my part. All in all, a pleasant experience. At 08:26 PM 9/20/2005, you wrote:
