Is there a SuSE Development list?
Hi people, i've been searching for a suse-dev list but I can't see it. I would like to know if there are documents describing procedures on SuSE development. I'm now interested on knowing the procedure for the creation of the images that linuxrc loads (root, rescue etc...) because i'm on a project very related to SuSE, but I need to hack on the installation process. Thanks.

From all the lists that I saw there I thought that could be the opensuse-factory or the opensuse-buildservice so I decided to ask on the general.

I think you'll have to do some research first - what you're asking is not discussed very often on any list, but I think you can easily find the material on the web - after all, it's not only SUSE that is building distros :-) /Per Jessen, Zürich

To get some better pointers maybe you could describe a bit more what it is exactly you're trying to accomplish - building an image of a filesystem that you can then loop mount is easy, creating an initrd is also straight forward. /Per Jessen, Zürich
I have found the right list already, but thanks anyway. What I am searching for is documentation about the images that linuxrc runs on installation and/or boot process. I know which kind of images are, but I need to know how they are made, what is being done when linuxrc runs, and how an image has to be so linuxrc run it.
