[opensuse] no window decorations for KDE4 kmix
Hello: When I open kmix window by clicking "show mixer window" in system tray kmix, kmix window is placed at the upper left corner of the screen and it has no wndow decorations. See image: http://i55.tinypic.com/122gqz5.jpg I have openSUSE 11.2 w/t KDE 4.5.1 factory and kmix-4.5.1-131.1. How to fix this one? Thanks, Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I see the same thing. A singe left click shows the same thing as a pop-up to the tray icon. A click anywhere on this window causes it to disappear. I believe it is meant to operate this way (positioned above tray) and not jump up to the corner. In any event, single click it to close. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Fix what? It's supposed to look like that. Thanks. That's what I wanted. I even did not notice that "mixer" is a clickable button. I thought it was the name of the application. Now I don't see what the right click > show mixer window option is good for at all. What is the purpose of putting that thing at the left upper corner after clicking in the right lower corner? Well if you worked in Perl you'd know that "there's more than one way of doing things". I trust you have this in your system tray and that's where you are right clicking it. Have you tried left clicking it? As far as I can see, if you ... Right click it appears on the top left and Left click it appears on the bottom right That seems logical enough to me :-) [and if you middle click the icon changes size :-) ] -- The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities...It is best to win without fighting. And something is either broken, or... When you left-click the mixer icon, the small popup should show up immediately above the mixer icon in the systray. When you right click the mixer icon, you should get the context menu for the mixer application. In either case the mixer popup should not be showing up in the top left of the screen... that's the "wrong" place on the OPs desktop. On my KDE4.5.1 install it shows up lower right... always. I've seen, in past releases of KDE, the Mixer popup showing up at random places, usually top left.... but not anymore. No need - it's a bug in the dbusmenu port: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172277 Will -- Will Stephenson, openSUSE Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH - Nürnberg - AG Nürnberg - HRB 16746 - GF: Markus Rex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well .... yes. Perhaps I should have said... Right click [gives you the option that lets] it appears on the top left (via the menu entry 'show mixer window) ... And that my systray is at the bottom right ...
