Hello again SuSE friends I was wondering if I could compact mail folders with mutt, or if I compact them using kmail, will mutt still be able to use/read them.?? suse-linux-e is getting a little bit thick in megabytes. Why don't I just delete them?, what and quit show business? besides I'm a hopless packrat _!!_ Thanks for replies. John W Mislan

Don't know about kmail, but if you go to mutt.org you will find some very nice contributions for compacting mail folders. -- Best regards, Gary

Thanks for replies. John W Mislan No problems. I use mutt and kmail, and compress my mail under kmail. Mutt is great for the quick answer/elimination of no-interest messages, and kmail I use for more leisurely perusing and archiving. Kmail does some irritating things with display of message headers when you delete messages, so I prefer to use Mutt for that.
